CHICAGO— To ensure every Illinoisan gets the facts about REAL ID, Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García joined Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias and released a video specifically geared toward Spanish-speaking residents.
García shared information about who needs a REAL ID and why, directing Illinoisans to the “Get A REAL ID” portal on the Secretary of State’s website – realid.ilsos.gov.

“I’ve been opposing a lot of terrible Republican bills lately, and today, I voted no on a particularly evil proposal.
At the Satellite Office Hours, my staff will be able to help constituents with federal agency related casework such as veterans’ benefits with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), tax issues with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Social Security check issues, communicate with USCIS to request information or status updates for an immigration application, and a list of other federal government-related matters.

CHICAGO — Congressman Jesús "Chuy" García (IL-04) announced today that his guest for the upcoming Presidential Joint Address to Congress will be Eric Rodriguez, a constituent of the district, resident of West Lawn, disabled Army veteran, frontline VA worker, and union steward in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare Illinois. Rodriguez works at Hines VA Hospital, one of the primary institutions serving veterans in the 4th District.
