Chicago, IL—Congressman Jesús "Chuy" García convened this morning a round table with community service organizations and residents to raise awareness about how the longest ever government shutdown is affecting people in the 4th Congressional District.
The organizations represented include Erie Family Health Centers, Connections for Abused Women and their Children, La Casa Norte, Instituto del Progreso Latino, Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network, Mujeres Latinas en Acción and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE).

Washington, DC- Congressman Jesús "Chuy" García (IL-04) was sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives by the House Speaker on January 3rd, 2019. On his first day in office he made good on his commitment to go to Washington, D.C. to represent the best interests of his constituents by voting for a solution to reopen the government immediately and end the Trump shutdown.
