Federal grant money secured by Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García and Former House Representative Jim Durkin, along with contributions from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS), the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Hinsdale Junior Women’s Club and The Hope Chest helped pay for the cost of the renovation.

CHICAGO– Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) and IL State Senator Celina Villanueva met yesterday with stakeholders in the field of reproductive health to discuss the current challenges of reproductive rights in their communities. The roundtable also focused on working with advocates to identify opportunities for the protection and advancement of reproductive rights.
CHICAGO— Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) announced that Abby Favro, a constituent from Elmhurst, will be his guest at President Biden’s State of the Union on Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Washington, DC. Favro is the Chief Development Officer for Planned Parenthood of Illinois (PPIL). In that role she oversees development efforts and activities, including the RESOLVE Campaign, which aims to protect and broaden access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care.
CHICAGO—Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García issued the following statement condemning the antisemitic leaflet distributed in his district:
“This morning, I was alerted to antisemitic leaflets distributed at residences in my district. I condemn this disgusting display of antisemitism. My Jewish constituents deserve to live in safety and without fear of intimidation or violence.
