WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) delivered a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in celebration of Pride Month, and to raise awareness on National HIV Testing Day.

Federal grant money secured by Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García and Former House Representative Jim Durkin, along with contributions from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS), the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Hinsdale Junior Women’s Club and The Hope Chest helped pay for the cost of the renovation.

CHICAGO– Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) and IL State Senator Celina Villanueva met yesterday with stakeholders in the field of reproductive health to discuss the current challenges of reproductive rights in their communities. The roundtable also focused on working with advocates to identify opportunities for the protection and advancement of reproductive rights.
