Representative García Honors Workers Around the Nation During "Striketober"

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Jesús "Chuy" García (IL-04) a member of the Congressional Labor Caucus today paid tribute on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to the thousands of workers from multiple industries across our country who are currently on strike and those who have taken a vote and may soon be on strike during what is now being called "Striketober".

The first lady's two-day visit to Chicago was intended to feature some of her planned charlas — Spanish for conversations — a series of discussions and listening sessions she is conducting across the nation.
