WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday, Congressmen Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) and John Rutherford (FL-05) joined U.S. Senators Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) to reintroduce the Keep Children and Families Safe from Lead Hazards Act. This legislation requires the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to annually assess the risks of lead-based hazards on housing properties receiving federal rental assistance.
