WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hoy, el congresista Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) se unió a las congresistas Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) y Delia Ramirez (IL-03), junto con otros 12 miembros del Congreso, para presentar la Ley de Prohibición de la Detención en Almacenes (*Ban Warehouse Detention Act*). Esta legislación prohibiría al Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS) —incluyendo al Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE)— establecer, operar, ampliar, convertir o renovar cualquier almacén, o edificio o estructura similar, con el propósito de detener a personas.
