Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives Jesús "Chuy" García (IL-04), a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, and Mike Quigley (IL-05) introduced the Park District Community Support Grant Program. This program would allow the Department of Interior to provide up to $100 million to park districts for a variety of projects to support community engagement and preserve and protect historic structures like those at many of Chicago's famous urban parks.

"The Biden Administration's announcement that it has launched a new initiative to find deported veterans and their families and bring them back to the United States is a welcome solution to a problem that never should have existed in the first place. The deportation of veterans who served our country is a cruel failure of our immigration system and a betrayal of men and women who put their lives on the line.
