WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04), a senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and co-founder of the Future of Transportation Caucus, issued the following statement following the U.S. Department of Transportation’s award of a $43,125,000 grant to build a grade separation at 65th and Harlem Avenue and implement other street improvements to enhance safety in Chicagoland:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Representatives Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04), Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), and Mark Takano (CA-39), Co-Chairs of the Future of Transportation Caucus (FOTC), sent a letter to President Biden outlining actions his administration can take now to safeguard the investments and policies secured in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
