WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) released a video blasting The Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 for spreading misinformation about voting rights and demonizing Latinos and immigrants:

 “This right wing think tank, right here, the Heritage Foundation, has been posting misinformation about voting on social media.

“There is no evidence to support the claims that noncitizens are voting. 

“It is illegal for noncitizens to vote in presidential elections.

“It’s clear that the Heritage Foundation wants to spread disinformation about citizens and vilify immigrants at the same time.

“That’s why Project 2025 is a threat to our democracy.”

“No hay pruebas que respalden las afirmaciones de que personas que no son ciudadanos están votando.
