Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García’s Statement on Trump Elevating Stephen Miller to Chief of Staff

 CHICAGO — Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García issued the following statement: 

“Tuesday night, Latinos and millions of Americans throughout the country voted to reject Trump’s vision for America, one driven by Stephen Miller.

“Stephen Miller is a white supremacist and the chief architect of Trump’s sadistic immigration policies that have divided families, racially profiled Black and Brown people, deported immigrants to countries where they don’t belong, killed Americans in our streets, and immigrants in detention centers. He is full of hatred and division.

“Trump is showing us exactly who he is by elevating this white supremacist to Chief of Staff. The American people reject his hateful vision, and Democrats will hold him and every other criminal in the Trump Administration accountable.”
